Personal Project · Short Film · 2012
GOLEM is a personal short film exploring the boundary between the organic and the mechanical — built entirely in spare time alongside feature work at Wētā FX.
The project was a creative testing ground for compositing techniques, procedural animation, and light integration that would later inform work on major feature films. Every frame was conceived, built, and composited by hand.
The title references the mythological golem — a creature animated from inanimate matter, a metaphor for what VFX artists do every day.
